The Process

SUE uses a combination of technologies and tools to determine the location of underground utilities, to establish the quality level of subsurface utility information, and to manage that level of information for use in utility, roadway or building construction.

The quality of the utility information is based upon the method(s) used to acquired it. We typically have 4 methods of acquiring the information:

• Information from existing utility records
• Field survey of above-ground utility facilities
• Information obtained through the use of geophysical techniques and field survey
• Information obtained through the use of non-destructive digging equipment and field survey
