If understanding what you can't see is crucial to the success of your project, SUE is a project must-do. Through strategic alliances and by using state-of-the-art equipment, we locate, designate, and certify the underground utilities on your project to SUE quality levels. SUE minimizes delays and extra costs due to utility conflict or facility damage.
Construction becomes more safe and cost-effective for the client, and the public.
SUE uses a combination of technologies and tools to determine the location of underground utilities, to establish the quality level of subsurface utility information, and to manage that level of information for use in utility, roadway or building construction.
The quality of the utility information is based upon the method(s) used to acquired it. We typically have 4 methods of acquiring the information:
- Information from existing utility records
- Field survey of above-ground utility facilities
- Information obtained through the use of geophysical techniques and field survey
- Information obtained through the use of non-destructive digging equipment and field survey
