As a civil engineering intern or co-op student at Snyder & Associates or Shuck-Britson, you will help provide our client communities with creative, long-term solutions for evolving 21st-century challenges. Working alongside our experienced team of engineers, landscape architects, planners, surveyors, and other professionals, you will gain valuable work experience and insight to help define your career goals and aspirations.

Our civil engineering internship and co-op program began nearly 30 years ago as an opportunity for college students to gain practical, real-world experience. On average, between ten and 20 positions are available per year.
Internships last an average of 12 weeks and take place from May through August. Co-ops occur over the course of a semester and may be counted for college credit, depending on graduation and credit requirements of the educational institution the student attends.
Students participating in the program for their first year often assist our survey crews or provide construction observation assistance. Participants returning for their second or third year in the program may expand their skill set by assisting project teams with design.
Our civil engineering internships and co-ops are open to junior and senior students enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program. However, highly motivated sophomore students are also encouraged to apply. All students must be able to work full-time for the duration of their program.
