FIRM FOUNDED
Terry Shuck founds Terry A. Shuck Structural Engineers, bringing experience from the Iowa Department of Transportation and prior structural engineering roles to serve government, industry, and design firm clients.
EARLY YEARS: ROOTS IN DES MOINES
An early partnership with the City of Des Moines opens the door to a wider range of project experience, laying the groundwork for long-standing relationships with the University of Iowa, Drake, Grinnell, Simpson, and Graceland, along with deep expertise in K-12, athletic, medical, and parking structure projects.
MERGER WITH BRITSON CONSULTANTS
Robert (Bob) Britson, a former employee of the firm, brings his bridge engineering practice into a merger that becomes Shuck-Britson, expanding the firm's structural capabilities and long-term project reach.
JOINING SNYDER & ASSOCIATES
Shuck-Britson becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Snyder & Associates, deepening a collaboration built through years of working side by side on transportation and infrastructure projects, and expanding SBI's ability to offer comprehensive engineering, planning, and design services.
